CUMC blends Wesleyan traditions and doctrine with Biblical Scripture into a non-traditional, informal worship service.
A relaxed contemporary format has been adopted but we also recognize the importance of keeping a sense of tradition,
decorum, reverance and respect of our presence before God.
CUMC is a family of believers, united in love and committed to the ideals expressed in the teaching and examples of Jesus' life.
Our goal is to reflect His character in our own lives. We are a liturgical church in that we observe the seasons of the church year
and celebrate Holy Communion each month following the Word and Table Service from the UM Hymnal.
We believe that worship of God is to be an interactive experience between the congregation and God.
Therefore, our congregation expresses their faith and praise to God through prayers, songs, psalms, reading scriptures,
Christian deeds and statements of faith. Listening to and learning the truth of God as preached in Bible-based
sermons is a top priority in our worship services.
